If you are playing MP3 files from the WinAmp playlist, then select "WinAmp as your "Input Device". Otherwise, select "Soundcard Input" for all other methods of input.

NOTE: PLease leave all other settings and controls on this tab set to their defaults unless you are very experienced in changing them..

In order to make ShoutCAST broadcast properly, the encoder needs to be set to match the server settings.

For example, if you current pay for a 32 kbps stream, it will be necessary to setup up the encoder to match.

Click the "Encoder Type" drop down menu and choose the "MP3 Encoder" option.

Then, click on the "Encoder Settings" drop down menu and choose the bitrate, sample rate, and channels combo setting that best matches what you are paying for. For example, if you are paying for a 24kbps steam, then you'd want to select the '24kbps, 22.050kHz, Mono" combo setting.

Now click on the "Yellow Pages" sub tab.

This is where you'll put your station's information so that your listener's will know who you are..

Next, from the "Genre" drop down menu, select a genre which best fits the content of your stream.

If you have an AIM, ICQ, and/or IRC account and want your listeners to be able to contact you through any of those accounts, you can put your username or handle into the AIM, ICQ, and/or IRC boxes. If you don't have one or more of those accounts, leave the text box for it empty.

if your audio source is MP3 files playing from the WinAmp playlist, select the check box next to "WinAmp". Otherwise, leave it and the other fields below it unchecked/blank.
